4-H Afterschool - Cooking with Kids
“Take an Adventure Bite!” Involving youth with hands-on food activities empowers them to taste a variety of foods and make healthier food choices. In this workshop, you will gain ideas on how to incorporate hands-on cooking activities, nutrition messages, and life skills in your program.
• Prepare recipes in small groups
• Participate in activities from a nutrition curriculum that is accessible on-line
• Look at a resource kit (available for borrowing) that contains cooking materials to get you started
Cost: $35.00 for 3.5 hours - partial scholarships available
