Are You Culturally Competent for the 21st Century?

Cultural Competence and The Impact of Stereotypes

Participants will learn to develop their cultural competence through interactive exercises, video and lecture.  Participants will examine the effects of stereotypes on target groups and how stereotyping impacts cross cultural relationships.  Questions like: how are we perceived by others; what messages do we hear about who we are; how are we portrayed by others; and how this effects our relationships are all explored.

Cost is $20.00 per person (includes refreshments and lunch).

Youth Summit 2010

For the first time, eleven youth organizations from greater Seattle will come together to build a network of teen activists. Building on the 2009 Youth Philanthropy Summit, this year's event will include 120 teens involved in community service, civic and political engagement, public policy, leadership development and grantmaking.

The Summit aims to connect teen activists who can work together to address the issues facing the Puget Sound region.
